“Our business was in a very early phase. In fact, it was in an identity crisis. Cash flow was tight and so spending a big sum on coaching was a scary prospect… But I knew we needed it.

When we signed up, we had a five month old. We’d just been through two years of lockdowns due to the pandemic and experienced that in very different ways. We had to pivot so many times during that time, that and decision felt exhausting and confusing. We had complete decision fatigue.

Getting an expert to guide us towards what was the most important aspect to work on first, giving us simple tasks to focus on each month and reminding us what we were already doing really well, helped more than we could have imagined.

Our business became focused, we were able to re-establish our identity and we were reminded how important *we* are. And how important our personal stories are to the businesses. We became confident in how we were and what we had to offer again.

We also had member signup and retention success which led to financial success... But knowing who we were again was the true success to us. Confidence is infectious.

One of the other benefits that we found was the follow up on the ‘homework’, or the things we implemented in our business.

I would recommend Creator Club for anyone that feels like they have made so many decisions in their business but it isn’t taking them where they want to go… If you’re feeling muddy about who you are and what you have to offer… Anyone in a creative industry or working online - this is a must add to your business.”

Emilia Cardillo: Cardillo Commercial Lawyers

“There are thousands and thousands of lawyers in New South Wales. Alone. And I don’t know the statistics, but it's a very high percentage, I'd say 80% or even higher are sole practitioners like myself.

So there's a lot of competition. I think especially in the legal industry, we are all qualified to a certain level… It's very hard to stand out

It's funny to look back. I think I knew when I started my practice, I wanted to use social media as a tool for marketing.

And in my industry, that was like a huge revelation in itself. Like, wow, lawyers on Instagram, like that's just not heard of. And I started out, you know, that was a huge out of the comfort zone moment for me anyway.

Slowly I started giving myself permission to actually talk about different things on social media. Like the fact that I didn't feel like I ever fit in, in the corporate world. I think people resonated with that. They're like, okay, you, you obviously a lawyer with that certain skill, skill set, but as a person. I showed my likes and dislikes. You know, I don't like the nine to five grind. I hated billable hours and time sheets. You know, being a mum changed my perception of being a lawyer and, and being a business owner and talking about those experiences.

And, and I think that felt very true to who I was.

Before I joined Creator Club, I was spending lots of time watching marketing videos and second guessing myself when it came to marketing my business in a way that felt authentic to me. I put marketing in the “too hard basket”.

But the biggest insight I’ve gained so far is around business messaging. This has had a huge impact on how I think and talk about my business.

I’m no longer grasping at new marketing techniques because I’ve been able to work on the big picture for my business to help guide everything that I do.

“I’ve doubled my annual revenue in the 12 months I’ve been part of Creator Club. New leads have increased 60% each month and I’ve hired my first team member.”

The community within Creator Club is also invaluable to me. Hearing other business owners talk through their challenges and goals gives me a new perspective on how I can market my business.”
